DroneBlocks EDU
Curriculum is an important part of the DroneBlocks experience. While the DroneBlocks app is a blank canvas for programming autonomous flight, this in-depth curriculum guides users through understanding basic programming concepts using DroneBlocks. Once the fundamentals are covered, they will dive into the exciting world of Python and Node-RED programming, which will teach students about UDP packets, the Tello SDK, and creating custom flight logic.
Compatible with DJI Tello and Tello EDU drones.
The DroneBlocks App is a drag-and-drop block programming environment that supports many of the leading DJI drones. The drones that are currently supported are the Tello and Tello EDU. DroneBlocks is a free download and available on iOS, Android, and Google Chrome. At this time, the Android version only supports Tello and Tello EDU. With over 100,000 users around the globe, there are now support communities on various social media forums, which are also available for free.
Drones are not only a fun and engaging educational tool, but the applications in the classroom are proving to be extensive and inclusive. This curriculum can be used to teach students of various ages and is extremely conducive to students with diverse learning styles by helping them understand math, science, and logic through fun and practical application.
Students will start with learning the basics of block style coding. They’ll test and execute their code on small, indoor-friendly drones that will fly autonomously in the classroom. Once students master the basics, they will move on to a more advanced programming language known as Python. This offer includes 40+ activities lasting a total of 1-2 hours in text and video format.

Kit Components:
The single user license provides access for one email address per school.
The unlimited user license provides access for unlimited emails per school.
Features:
Drag-and-Drop Coding: Using the DJI SDK, DroneBlocks allows users to tap into the autonomous functionality of their DJI drone. Drag-and-drop coding allows users to create their own custom flight logic and algorithms. It’s easy to get started and, with the DroneBlocks curriculum, users can learn about many aspects of drone programming and flight. The goal is to not only get students interested in STEM, but to teach real-world applications of drone technology.
Save and Share DroneBlocks Missions: One of the most popular features of DroneBlocks is the ability to share autonomous mission code with others. Any mission saved to the DroneBlocks cloud can be shared with anyone using a web browser. This is a great way for students across the world to collaborate with each other and participate in the spirit of open source code.

Why Doesn’t Drobots Does Not Sell Drone Kits and Accessories?
To keep your costs down, we intentionally do not sell or include drones or accessories in a bundled fashion. Many educational curriculum companies bundle additional accessories and mark up the pricing as a convenience. While this may serve as a benefit, we know that every dollar saved counts. Moreover, we prefer you spend those additional savings on more drones, so more students in your school or classroom may participate and learn.
Need Drones or Drone Kits?
While we do not provide and ship the drones or accessories, you may click here for a simple guide on what to purchase and where to purchase all of your necessary technology and supplies. This includes all the necessary accessories (batteries, cases, chargers, spare parts, etc)
