Animation and Design Summer Camp Themes for 3rd to 8th Graders

Join us for a week of animation and digital creations. Whether you engineer a friendly digital unicorn or a super scary three-headed monkey dragon, campers will have a blast transforming their imagination into reality. Using real HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code, campers customize their animated creature to give it a unique personality, appearance, and behaviors. Students explore programming fundamentals in a creative camp to bring their designs to life and share them with family and friends long after camp ends.

Note: Drobots believes in the educational philosophy that students learn best when collaborating with their peers. From a social standpoint, campers learn teamwork, cooperation, and the importance of sharing and implementing ideas. This philosophy has been supported by some the world’s leading educators and technologists and backed by extensive academic research. However, campers may ask to work by themselves upon request.

Create an interactive mobile game that’s controlled using your phone’s gyroscope! Design a maze filled with obstacles that the player must guide their character through. This course focuses on the unique advantages of the mobile platform for development, teaches students modern approaches in game design, and uses haptic and SFX feedback to enhance the game’s feel. Students walk away with a robust mobile app that can be downloaded by others and played on real smartphones.

My twin girls have never been so excited to come home and share what they have learned. I wish there were more STEM-like programs that incorporated such a creative mix of technology, creativity and fun. Now it’s off to buy a pair of drones!

If I knew what drone racing was before I sent Zachary to this camp I would have enrolled myself! Seriously though, great job everyone. You are a team of professionals dedicated to educating the future generation of entrepreneurs and engineers. See you in the summer.

7 year old son attended camp, Father

Our kids are having a blast. The special guest from the film company was a huge hit in our household. We are committed to providing opportunities where our children may engage in the ever-so-evolving space of technology, so we appreciate the program you have developed.  You may have some budding drone filmmakers in the making.
